[Brief pause, then.]

Repeat. Alliance Command. This is Commander Kaidan Alenko. Come in Alliance Command.

[Several muffled clicks and beeps can be heard, then Kaidan mumbles.]I'm sure this is the band. Why won't they respond.

I've never been able to decide if knowing when it'll all be over would be a blessing or a curse.

I would say I'm sorry, but I think that might belittle the fact at hand. I'll say this, though: I'll take my massive migraines and smile.

Well, from what I've seen, in all experiments, some are more lucky than others.

The answer to that question ties in, actually. I'm biotic. I have an L2 implant. They have some notorious side effects. Luckily, I just get migraines.

Ah, I see.

When I was En Utero, my mother was downwind of a chemical spill. My nervous system was infused with tiny nodules of the chemical, Element Zero. I can manipulate them in various ways, resulting in Mass Effect fields I can utilize much like telekinesis.
