Kitty would be lying if she said she wasn’t still a bit peeved with Kaidan but she was going to try to just let it go. She knew she worded things badly sometimes and it was probably her fault for making him think that anyway. Wearing the same thing she’d worn to pick Remy up she headed for his apartment. While walking she noticed that there was something a lot more comfortable about flared jeans compared to straight legged ones and that made her glad she’d decided to buy them after all.
After knocking on the door she put her hands on her hips and waited.
Kaidan felt bad for thinking Kitty might have...well, might have decided he wasn't mutant enough for her, and he was going to do his damnedest to make it up to her.
He wasn't sure it was possible, but it was worth a shot. He answered the door when she knocked, and noted her body language. "Hi. You're still mad at me, aren't you?"
Kitty didn't give him a smile when he opened the door and just shrugged. "I'm not mad," she said. It wasn't entirely the truth, she was mad but she was more hurt then anything. "Ready to go? Or do you not want to?"
"No," He said, "I want to." He followed her out, locking the door behind him, and fell into step beside her, shoving his hands in his pockets and keeping his eyes down. Damn, okay. This part sucked.
To say Kitty had had a good day was an understatement, she'd had a great day. It was fun and so far nothing had gone insanely wrong, she was waiting for it to though. Plus she didn't even hate what Rachel had picked out although it was shorter than anything she ever would have, it only came to right at her knees and it cut down lower than anything she would have picked out. But it wasn't that bad of a dress. Okay she had to admit it she felt really stupid in it and knew she had to look just as stupid. She lingered at his door trying to decide if she should run back and change or not.
Kaidan had finally settled on a nice pair of jeans and a good button down. It wasn't bad, nothing too fancy, and he hoping Kitty liked it. He was looking forward to seeing her, and having a nice night out was going to be worth it. He was at the door as soon as she knocked and smiled broadly when he saw her.
