Explorer, ain't it.
I hope she is done with Cyteen 2 soon and does the fourth Foreigner trilogy. Ah, yes I fondly remember Explorer and am steadfastly withstanding the urge to get it down from the shelf (no books off the shelf unless all other books have been placed onto the shelves. Unfortunately my Cherryh collection were the first to be shelfed, now only another 200-300 books are waiting to get shelf space *shudder*).

Are you sure that was the book nearest to you and not the "cool" "intellectual"? one ;)

Foreigner/Transformer would be a hell of a crossover.

;-) It was the first one to come to hand, really: I was sitting in the 'study' at the house PC when I did this meme and my shelf of Cherryh-ness was at eye level when I turned my head. I was in luck! Had I been in the bedroom on the laptop, I might've got a *shudder* textbook. Ick!

Meme didn't say "what you are currently slogging through," no, it said the nearest book.

That would be an awesome crossover. What do you think Jago would do if her conveyance talked to her? Transformed, and proved to be as good a shot as she is? Bret might have some competition!
