Summary:
The van pulled up to the forgotten city with a final and tired putter. When the doors to the vehicle close the sounds echo about the conch shell shaped structures and get tossed back across the blue landscape. Silence closed immediately after. Veld's gun clicked softly as he released the safety and in the silence the sounds of the team getting ready just added an ominous sort of backdrop.
Fully loaded and alert, they make their way to the city proper.
