She wondered if it were a figment of her imagination, to be honest. Things as of late hadn't made much sense according to Shelke's logic. Then again, she felt obligated---drawn---to follow the animal figure that presented itself before her. It was that sound again, the familiar clopping sound against pavement that she'd heard before. The girl took small steps forward looking around to try and get a clearer sight of the creature. "Who are you?" She began with a light uncertainty to her voice. "Why are you here?"
Only when they were away from any other people did the creature fully show itself. But rather than answer her questions it simply looked at her and snorted.
Though it was a simple animal, she could tell that it was different than all the other horses that she'd ever seen. It was smart, and it had an unusual presence about it. Shelke let her gaze fall to the ground with uncertainty, and she approached the creature with an unusual amount of caution. When within a few faces of Ixion she held her palm out.
Ixion snorted again, and made a motion that gave very much the same impression as if he'd rolled his eyes. Then he flicked his head back as if motioning to his back.
