At least he surely hoped that it was.

"Who is it?" he called, regarding the door with mild curiosity.

Veld pushed the door open and slid into the room without much sound or fanfare. He closed the door behind him and flipped the latch in the same movement. He'd rather not cause a scene, not for the time being.
"I believe I've found something... unpleasant in my research. It correlates to what Reeve has been doing."
Veld didn't feel the need to hide his connections from Rufus. If the younger man thought Veld wouldn't have his ear to every wall that he could, then he was a fool. Veld was banking on the idea that Rufus was not foolish. And that instead, he would appreciate another set of eyes and ears.
Regardless, Veld was not in control, and his advisory role demanded this be paid attention to. "I think that we're in more danger than we previously expected and it isn't from Sephiroth, but from the damage the Lifestream has undergone."

Not information he really wanted to hear, from the sound of it, but that didn't make it any less legitimate.
"Go on," he prompted, shifting to rest his elbows on his desk and his chin on folded hands, watching Veld intently. There wasn't much of anything else to say until he heard more about what potential danger he might be dealing with.

Agreed. Rufus has also been in touch. It is rather hard to ignore both of you at the same time.
A mild stab at humour but also Reeve did like to be aware of what was going on. Being in the dark was never a preference. He smiled again into the emptiness before continuing:
Looks like I'll be visiting Gongaga again. I suspect that the bugs haven't even forgotten the taste of me yet!
He only had one thing he needed to do before that time...
[ooc: he'll be gone to his homestead with Tseng and then come back with Haruke~ cos I believe there are certain plots we could do with that little guy and Elfe? \o\ Reeve wants to meet Elfe in person!]

Veld looked down at his phone. Just let me know when. He smirked. Now, you know I always fill you in. One time he hadn't and apparently it had become Veld's fault that Reeve almost got blown up. Enough to give a guy a complex really.

I'll take a transport out in the morning. Should arrive before noon.
Reeve puzzled a little at Veld's second sentence, though he may have also smirked past the lost smile if he knew what the older man was thinking.
-It had been two days before he could hear anything past incessant ringing in his ears, but he had survived, thanks in part to the Turks-
Ah, yes. Where would I be without you, Verudo?
He added, lips now most definitely twitching at the corners.

Veld replaced his phone, knowing that Reeve knew Veld didn't use the word important unless he meant it.
