Who: Rufus, Bahamut When: Directly after he arrives in Junon Location: Junon Rating: PG-13 Summary: Rufus is visited by The Ghost of Leaders Present a surprising guest.
"That would be-" the voice was deep and cultured and seemed to come from just behind Rufus' head "-because she's been infected by the crisis. It would be in your best interest to secure your teams that you have in place. People are going to be blaming you for this disaster in short order and someone will be speaking against you now."

There had not been anyone else in the room, and Rufus had not expressed any of those thoughts about Elena out loud. Nevertheless, someone had responded.
Rufus' eyes went wide, and for a second he froze solid, unable to turn and look at the source of the voice, or even come up with anything to say. It was so clear, he couldn't have imagined it, could he? But if he hadn't, then how did someone get in the room without him noticing? And how did they know what he was thinking?
A half-second later, he whipped around to look at the intruder, eyes narrowed. Thankfully his face was nowhere near as confused or disquieted as his thoughts.

The voice began to morph, still deep and cultured, but distinctly female. The owner, of the voice, however, was nowhere to be found. In the long forgotten parts of Rufus' mind that voice would be clear as day. "Having a rough time of it?"
He turned around, but there was nothing to be seen. How was that possible? Rufus's eyes scanned the room, searching for any sign of the intruder, and still finding nothing. The voice spoke again, and he froze for a second.
That wasn't the same voice it had been a moment before, was it? This one struck at some long buried memory, lost somewhere in the early years of his life. He couldn't recall, not for certain, but didn't that voice belong to--no, that was ridiculous. It was attempt to throw him off his guard, or so he assumed, and a rather strange one at that. His eyes narrowed further and he addressed the apparently empty air.
"Who are you?" Though perhaps under the circumstances, what it... he... she was might have been the more appropriate question. Speaking to some incorporeal voice was enough to make him feel just a little insane.
