Dulcimer.

Man, it's a pity, when I was a kid, nobody used to speak about the hammered dulcimer here in Belgium. I'd had an instrument to learn to play, that would have been that one!

My aunt knows how to play the hammered dulcimer, and taught me how to play a few little songs on it when I was a kid. I always thought it was pretty. :)

Most Celtic songs can be played in hammered dulcimer, it's got a great sound. We begin to see folk groups here in Belgium featuring the dulcimer, and it's a good thing.

Is it difficult or easy to play?

It's actually quite easy - it just takes a bit to remember which strings to hit. ^^
