L.S. Cassius' Lodgings

High above street level, but not quite as high as The Flit, are various shabby shacks in Spite. It is one of these that L.S. Cassius procured as their Lodgings. It went cheap at 500 rats, but of course the seller had not mentioned that it was infested with rats anyway. A parcel has been left here, apparently by a bat or a raven: a roll of grey fabric about eight inches long tied with a simple, sturdy brown string. A white card is folded in half and sealed with bit of wax, with the words, "For C"

When unrolled and unfolded at the sides, the parcel reveals a white handkerchief, embroidered in the corner with an ornate calligraphic C in pristine white thread, surrounded by Star of Bethlehem.
