I'm glad you liked it! I tried to make his voice distinct, but not let his idioms get in the way of actually, you know, communicating. ;)

So sad... Poor worms! This reminded me of an episode of the original Star Trek series (I think it's called Devil in the Dark if you care).

I have not seen many episodes of the original Trek, but I had read about that one - I did some research on hypothetical types of biochemistry to make sure my idea of a solar-powered space-dwelling worm alien wasn't presented in TOO ridiculous a fashion, and the Horta is mentioned in that article. It looks like a neat episode - I'll have to check it out!
