Yes, but I don't ever think of it with that name. :). Samurai X was the name of the North American release of the anime. Personally, I hate it. It would be like Viz renaming Inuyasha "Dog-Eared Demon Boy" or something equally stupid. Kenshin was never a samurai and by naming him such in the title undermines one of the basic foundations of the story.

I usually equate the Samurai X name with the two OVAs which were released in an attempt to cover the remaining arcs of the manga which were not included in the original anime. One I quite enjoy; the second, however, hard core fans consider an abomination because it completely undoes the happy ending the mangaka gave his readers.

LOL... other than the names and personalities of the characters, my story in no way resembles the manga or anime. Mine is a completely alternate reality. The whole changeling thing was purely the influence of reading too many of quoth_the_rayvn's fanfics (an too many conversations with her) and the works of Nalini Singh.
