One of my, 'when we make it', purchases will be a hot tub with a current. I've used them and they're cool for swim training.

Of course, I have to address a) the insane cost and b) the insanity of owning such a thing in a climate like Seattle.

Blimey. I've only ever been in a single hot tub but it certainly wasn't big enough for swimming!

They're not all that big. I stayed in a hotel with one once. Probably about 3m by 2m... Just enough to swim a stroke in.

I can't use those flume things - the water goes straight down the front of my swimming costume and it *tickles*.
