why can't people understand that it's perfectly possible to be conservative with a little 'c' personality-wise and still not be a Conservative politically?
Yes, I don't get that at all! I know many people who are conservative but they aren't really conservatives when it comes to politics. Some are actually quite liberal. I mean President Obama is conservative and he's... well, he's a centrist Democrat which would make him a Conservative(big "C")anywhere else, probably. But here, he's a pretty small "C" conservative guy who is a member of the more liberal party. It happens quite often.
I've been meaning to watch Jam and Jerusalem because of Sanders(and because French and Lumley are in it) but I didn't realize David was in it. Hee, it has just gone further up the never-ending queue of series-that-I-must-watch-someday.
I may or may not have been speaking from a personal point of view there. In a lot of ways I'm quite conservative, personality-wise. But I am left, left, left wing, politically.
Jam and Jerusalem starts off shakily, but I found I really liked it by the end. I definitely recommended for the Mitchell quotient, and Dawn French does a fantastic job with her character.
I know many people like that. I also know people who are pretty conservative (well, traditionally conservative, not RWNJs)politically but have rather large, even outrageous personalities. I don't think temperament is a great indicator of one's politics.
I'll watch pretty much anything for either Mitchell or French so I think I will probably enjoy ir.
Hee, that's a great icon. I don't really ship them(and I don't really not ship them either, it's just that I don't ship much with NCIS) but they are so adorable together!
