Every week there will be a post for episode artwork, vids, icons and fics! Episode 1 is here and I contributed with an R-rated Sam/Maya piece called "For No One" (the Beatles song that I think was clearly written for them.)

The first series of Life on Mars revolves around Sam's father issues, and I thought that maybe this could be because he'd had a recent upset that related to fathering.

I think this is one of the most interesting theories I've ever read about Sam's situation and one of the most plausible reasons for him to go back to 1973 and not another time. I also may adopt it for my personal canon from now on, if you don't mind. ♥

Any chance of expanding the comment fic to a full-blown fic by reinstating the ideas and scenes you had to edit out? They must have been amazing. Would you write them down again if I begged/bribed you??? I'm so in love with this fic that I'd do anything to read more about it.

I don't really see why he would have gone back to 73 when involved in an accident after the Maya incident if Sam didn't, in some way, connect his father issues with his relationship breakdown. It doesn't have to be this, but it's plausible.
