Well, that was a sucker punch to the heart. Oh, Gene.

The parallels with Ruth watching Sam in a coma in the present were so painful. Especially because she knew Sam knew she loved him, but Gene didn't even have that consolation.

It's a talent!

Actually, it's yours. There's something about the way you write that totally speaks to me. And I know I understand and believe the characters as you write them, even if it hurts.

And yes, I know that feeling when someone gets what you're trying to achieve and I'm glad I get to be that person for you.
