Ooooh, really like this - a good idea that was very well executed. Also, this little detail, 'I stared at the tape recorder sitting next to Gene' was a nice touch, as I'm a sucker for the whole "see how they learn from each otherrrr" thing.

I'm very much a fan of them taking on each other's ideals and role reversal, so the first episode was amazing for me in that regard (even though it was extremely unsettling.)

Wholeheartedly agreed - I love the similarities between them and how well they work together. They really are a fantastic double act, hee.

Also, jdnglsandgksanWHAT IS THE QUOTE IN YOUR ICON FROM. It's so familiar, is it actually from LoM? I keep thinking it's from Dr Who or something, oh god. Er, probably a sign I should get some sleep? W/e.

Oh, my. Loz, you've still got it. I'm so glad to see that you've been inspired by the new series. This was a little scary. But scary in such a good way. I continue to be so impressed by the way you write dialogue between Sam and Gene. And I lurve that you wrote this in first person Sam.

Hee! It's interesting that you mention the voice, because I did actually start in third person. I got as far as "do you believe in monsters" and decided I wanted it in first.
