Christmas

Is it just me, but when you're single and in your mid 20s, Christmas isn't the same? Its one week till Christmas and there's none of the same excitement. Even the fact that I spent the day with my little cousins, who are beside themselves, didn't change my mood.

Growing up sucks sometimes.

I suspect surroundings make a lot of difference. People in their mid (or in my case late) 20s live by themselves more often and frequently don't decorate. I think Christmas (or holidays in general) are something you have to make happen. A lot of it is just spending time with relatives, preferably ones who bake. The other factor is that time telescopes when you're little, so the holiday season seems to last a lot longer.
