Had my first jury trial today. All by my lonesome - no one to help prepare or sit second chair. Lost. "Not Guilty" on a DUI. It wasn't the best case, so I was prepared for the possibility of an acquittal, but it's still a letdown

I think that means you had a crappy case and did the best you could. Crappy case or not it sucks to lose. I'll swing a gingerale in your honor.

Ahh, how exciting to have one under your belt! And that is a huge responsibility, doing a jury trial with no assistance.

Maybe you've got a way...that moves the Judge. Don't know what it is. But Judge knows that s/he can't live without you...

Ha! Yeah. Can't live without me somehow messing up his courtroom.

It was different than being in trial in the civil arena.
Not sure yet which one I prefer.
