I'm acclimated to NorCal's Mediterranean climate. If I ever have to go back to Ohio during the summer and feel that kind of heat, the same thing will happen to me.
Yeah. San Francisco weather is just bizarre. :- ) It just stays cool there doesn't it? I remember the last time I came to visit my dad there (now in Modesto) I saw a T shirt that said something like, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco"
Yeah, typical weather year-round is 60s. "Winter" means lots of rain, highs in the high 50s to low 60s, lows in the high 40s. Our summer is late September and/or October, when we have highs in the 70s for a week or two.
Sometimes we'll have anomalous 80-degree days, and natives will complain about the "heat wave." I'm like, you don't even know.
But doesn't it at least start to cool down in the evening? When we went to the North Carolina mountains for our camping vacation last summer in mid-July - it was hot during the day, but got downright *cold* in the evening. Here it doesn't. 88 degrees at night. You get no break from it. Ugh.
My cousin lives in Colorado Springs - air conditioner or no, I'm jealous. I'm much more of a mountain person than a beach person - and here I am stuck on the beach with the nearest mountain 5 hours away. Wanna trade anytime, let me know! :- )
