I'm one month into representing "The People" and the gild hasn't yet tarnished on the lilly - but I still feel like I don't know what the hell I'm doing no matter how hard I study the files or read the criminal statutes - and I'm even taking them home to read on the weekends people

That's such a hard transition, going from firm work to criminal prosecution. The sheer bulk of cases you have to deal with is insane. I'm sure it's like anything...each day will get a little easier and pretty soon, you'll just be reciting the criminal statutes like they're your own personal ABC's.

Last week was a fricking marathon. First appearances/Arraignment all week. I spent all weekend on the couch. And I *really* need to go find some lower heels - and no more pointy toes. :- (
