The door leads out into the parking lot of the Circus of the Damned. It's winter in St. Louis, and he's glad he remembered some warm clothes for himself and Moon. He ushers her through the slushy parking lot to his Mustang and starts the car, letting it heat up while he scrapes the windshield

"What is this place? Is this going out?" she asks him.
She may have all the paths of all the sentients in all the worlds in her head, but she has no idea what a car is or why she's in shoes and lots of clothing.

"Seriously? It's my car, Moon. It's how we get to where we need to go so we don't have to walk all the way." He nods to the window he'd cleared off for her, the buildings passing by one by one. "We're driving to some stores so we can buy you a dress. And maybe a warm coat and boots."

"How can you enjoy anything when you're inside something and moving so quickly?"

Jason's eyes flick down to her sandals and he shakes his head. "You might not feel it, but I sure as hell don't want icy feet snuggled up to me in bed tonight. And if you don't want all the poor humans wondering what the hell you are, you'll have to at least dress the part."
They come to a red light and he stops, leaning over to kiss her briefly. "I like driving, especially when I can drive fast. It's more fun on something like Charlie's motorcycle, but it's too dangerous on the ice to drive fast here."
