It wasn't hard to hear Anita's screams from outside the room: Jason had been on his way to see if Jean Claude had any other orders for the evening before retiring for the day.

He burst into the room to see the two master vampires -already dead for the day- collapsed on top of Anita. "Oh well done, guys: this is exactly the way to convince her

Blood.

There is blood all over her, and she thinks it's a startling amount... especially because it's all hers. Distantly, she hears the door open, and her eyes notice Jason nearby.

And she thinks she's never been happier to see him, even if she was naked and covered in blood and fluids.

"Help," she manages, her voice weak and scared, but she doesn't care. All she cares about is how dizzy and sick she feels.

Jason moves quickly to the bed and rolls Asher easily off of Anita, not really caring where the vampire lands. Damn, there is a lot of blood, and from the scent it's all Anita's.

As carefully as he can, he pulls Anita into his arms and lifts her easily, cradling her in his arms as he starts for the door. He needs to get her cleaned up and see just how badly she was bitten...

Anita lays her head against his shoulder, feeling the dizziness start to ease. She realizes that Jason hasn't made a joke or a come-on or really said much of anything. When Jason's speechless, things are bad.

Jason starts to turn toward the door, away from the bed, but Anita says, "Wait, not yet."

Jason pauses, looking at her. "What?"

She must still be reeling from the sex or the blood loss, because he can't imagine Anita wanting to cuddle nude in his arms while watching Asher and Jean Claude lie dead to the world in the bed, all the while covered in blood and semen.
