I'm not sure if it's of any interest to anyone but I've come across some interesting notes left here, at the Spero Hospital. Quite a few all speak of the Atropos virus. What's interesting is these notes label it as "incurable." The notes continue to list symptoms but the cause is always pointed towards Discedo, stating that they believe the fish

Do you think there's any possibility of this Atropos virus reappearing any time soon?

[understandable. Cube only used Text so anyone could respond. He also knows English and Japanese, so whichever of those Loki prefers, Cube will respond in.]

There is a possibility but from what as learned last year, we were all vaccinated by the scientists before being brought here. So, although some of us may develop symptoms, we will not die, thankfully.

Though, I wouldn't wish this sickness upon anyone, even if death can be avoided. It's horrible. [he came down with an acute form of it last year.]

[Loki is a brat, so he doesn't care if other people can respond to him or not. He already explained as much to Jack earlier. And Loki would probably prefer Scandanavian to anything else really, considering. And he's not going to suddenly go around speaking in that. So Japanese is probably his default.]

So they have developed some sort of a cure for it? At least to a certain extent, if you were still able to catch it.

It appears so, but I don't believe it's widely known. After all, Hollisland attacked us last year for the vaccine. Which means that Discedo had the cure, or at least someone had it. I wonder if it was before or after the city became deserted.

[He looks to his side, then pulls over a stained paper and reads from it.]

"Symptoms of fatigue, sneezing, coughing are common signs. As it worsens, the person may faint or feel dizzy. The late stages of the virus are characterized by coughing up blood and failure of internal organs, leading to death. The time period of this virus from the initial symptoms to death is around two weeks."

When I caught it, it felt like a simple cold but only got worse.

It also mentions that due to the nature of the virus, it caused extreme fear and signs of anxiety in those infected, usually leading to mental decline.

It can be speculated as such, it appears. Still, I don't think it was sickness alone.

Yes, I have been doing it a little bit at a time. I found these papers in a part I had to fly to get to. I feel bad for this building. I will never complain about the Discedo hospital ever again.

It's alright. I can see rather well in dim lighting so it isn't too much of a problem. I also have magic to help but I do not trust others wondering in here to begin with! The floor can give away and it's dangerous.

How comfortable would you feel about drawing blood, Gakupo-san?
