I've wanted to do this for about two years, but michigan didn't have a group and new york has several--2 in manhattan,  and one in brooklyn.

come on up! it's only an hour and a half on the CT BUS! ok, a stretch, i know, but it'd be great to go together!!!!!

i am so jealous of you guys! i sang with a group for years, and then since i moved to vermont i can't find another steady group less than two hours' drive. which seems kind of ridiculous, given the nature of vermont, but i'm getting desperate enough to start driving down to my old singing group once a month. hope y'all enjoy. it is absolutely amazing, one of my favorite pleasures in life.

i am incredibly excited for this. I pick up things fairly quickly by ear and though I haven't encountered shape note music before, I do read western staff music (why I can't think of the term for this now, I don't know).

I'll update with our experience.

And I'm surprised that Vermont doesn't have a sacred harp group. Maybe you might start one?
