Romanji lyrics of ‘Truth’ by rabu_ma_chan

At first, it was because of boredom.

He had been performing tricks with cards for a long while and he felt that he was ready to try another division of magic that he found interesting: hypnotism.

He had run-ins with this element of illusion even in the early days of Arashi. The hypnotist played his skills on Matsujun, who was commanded to be a turtle. Nino thought it was funny when the youngest of the five tried to climb into the small tank. He himself was hypnotized too and gained the ability to somehow see the hostess in her nakedness. He found it to be amazing as well.

What surprised him the most, though, was when Ohno was hypnotized.

He was told that he would not be able to remember his name nor the group he was in. At the snap of the hypnotist’s fingers, his memories of those things were pushed back into the depths of his mind. He was asked his name and the group’s name, but the only answers that he could give them were confused stares and nervous laughs.

Nino deemed that moment as a most interesting moment.

Not only that, but he found Ohno as a most interesting person.

More years after that incident, there was another hypnotist who worked his enchantment on them. Nino found it hilarious and cute that Ohno was so susceptible to the hypnotism. He would do the things that were meant for the hypnotized Aiba.

Then and there, he realized how adorable Ohno was, trying to resist the powers over him.

Not only that, but he realized the powers he could have over Ohno if he was under... his spell, that is.

These memories and thoughts, plus the boredom of a low battery DS and misplaced cards, urged him to try his skills (that Nino just got from the television) on Ohno. He’d been doing it on Sho but he knew it was just a game and figured it would be better to see the reaction of a person if it was the sweet and gullible Riida.

All these thoughts were going through Nino’s head and he couldn’t help but snicker a little.

“What’s so funny?” Matsujun asked, his eyes looking over the book he was reading. “You’ve been acting strange ever since we got to the dressing room.”

Nino forgot that they were all in the dressing room.

“It’s nothing.” He easily led the conversation’s direction to a dead end. “Just thinking.”

Matsujun shrugged and went back to reading. Nino was just about to go towards a sleepy Riida when Sho grabbed his hand.

“Nino.” Sho looked very serious and looked straight into his eyes. Nino was stiff for a second. “...I need to tell you that... I...”

“...?” Nino stared for a second in confusion but he recovered after Sho said what he had to say.

“I LET A KID HAVE YOUR CARDS!” Sho burst into guilty sobs and hugged Nino. “I’M SORRY! He was just so adorable... he looked like he wanted those cards very badly...”

“It’s no problem. I understand.” Nino patted the guy with sloping shoulders on the head. “Don’t worry yourself too much, Sho. It’s fine as long as you buy me two packs of high-class cards by tomorrow, ne?” Nino smiled wide.

“NO PROBLEM!” Then Sho went over to Aiba who was making plans for a surprise and private A no Arashi with his beloved liquid Nitrogen.

Before he was interrupted even more, Nino scooted over to the opposite side of the sofa where Sho left and where Ohno was staring blankly into space again with his back facing the magician. He wrapped his arms around Ohno’s waist from behind and placed his head on Ohno’s back. A snug fit, he would call it.

“Nino...” Riida called out softly. Without even turning to look, Ohno knew it was the mischievous brat who loved skinship that was all over him. He was used to his warmth.

“Hmm.” Ohno didn’t move from his seat. Nino held him for a bit. He tightened his hug for a moment and then let go of their Riida. Okay, now it’s time for the proposal.

“Oh-chan.” Nino sang happily as the person in mind turned to face him. “Let’s play something.”

“Oh, okay. What is it?”

“Hypnotism!” Nino kneeled beside Ohno as the so-called ‘hypnotist’ placed his cute hamburger hands on Ohno’s eyes. Ohno didn’t even react. Nino started to turn Ohno’s head while still covering his eyes.

“You’ll be very sleepy. Oh, you already are so never mind that. You will follow my words. When I snap my fingers, you will stand up and dance the chorus of ‘Truth.’ After that, you will sit down and go back to being yourself.” The other three were watching them at this point. “Okay, 3, 2, 1.” Nino snapped his fingers.

Ohno sprang up suddenly.

“Kanashimi

Tatoe donna owari wo egaitemo
Kokoro wa nazomeite...”

He sang and danced his drama’s theme song seriously as the members laughed in amazement and delight. His voice was as breathtaking as ever.

“Tatoe donna sekai wo egaitemo
Ashita wa mienakute-!”

Ohno slipped on a piece of plastic from an onigiri bought from the convenience store.

Nino knew that the turn at that part of the song was somehow dangerous.

Hitting your head when you’re hypnotized, or not in your proper mindset, can be very dangerous as well.

Nino ran to him, as well as the other members, and inspected his head. There were no cysts or any visible injuries. Nino made him sit up and snapped his fingers to wake him from his trance.

Riida’s eyes blinked in quick succession and stared at Nino. Ohno grimaced in confusion, and his eyes grew wide.

His face grew pale.

“Ohno?”

So, the first chapter is done. :D The next one will come. When, depends on my mood. :D  I'm particularly happy today though.
