Since when does rape equal smut? People get off on rape and torture? Sorry, I don't get it.

I'm sorry if the term was misleading, it wasn't meant to be. I googled it* since I had just thought that smut meant that the bulk, or the entirety in this case, of the story was sexual in nature. Sorry again if that caused you any grief.

According to my homepage smut means:

1. Obscenity in speech or writing.

2. Pornography.

* not to be snotty, my homepage is dictionary.com if that tells you anything; i like to make sure I'm getting nuances right

That said, I believe some people do have rape and torture fantasies, and as long they enact them only in fantasy or under controlled conditions in a BDSM scene it doesn't bother me any. I, however, did not derive any sexual pleasure from this particular story.

Now wait a minute. RAPE is about power not sex, so calling it a smut fic doesn't sound right. But bdsm is not the same at ALL! BD&SM is a consensual role-play or life-style. It's about respect and there has to be a lot of trust in these games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BDSM. Rape fantasy are gross but not the point here. Your writing a story where a real rape is happening to a real canon character. This is not a case of "oh that was great..same time next week ?", sex game. It's and way Au topic at best and should be locked so kids don't stumble on it ( ... )

Poor choice of words again, on my part. I don't disagree with anything you said just want to clarify what I meant. I was NOT trying to relate this story to BDSM in any way shape or form. When I write a BDSM scene I try and make it clear that the characters involved have a safe word, have discussed comfort zones and perform after care, the whole nine yard. All things I do when I participate in a scene in real life ( ... )
