Poll's Song

One of them, anyway. THe feel of the song, the juxtaposition of the cheery melody and the way the lyrics talk of the subject matter, reminds me very much of Pollution.

It's called 'In Our Talons', and it is by the Bowerbirds.

Ooo, yes, definately see how this song goes with Pollution. I've never really thought of it like that, but now that you've pointed that connection out, the song is all the more depressing. Before, the song was always coming from a very human place (where we can still reverse/cease some of the damage that has been done), but looking at it from a Horseperson's perspective, it really sounds more final. :/

Yet there's that very present admiration of the juxtaposition, if not the admiration of the destruction. And it's so peaceful and happy that you can easily see Poll's point of view on things, rather than the human or natural perspective. Getting the reader to a paradigm shift is hard enough, but doing it with a song? That is some amazing songwriting.
