Only Slightly O/T: Neil Gaiman and Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab

Feb 11, 2007 20:37

Some of us know and love the wonderful scents of BPAL; they've just announced a new line called Carousel, interpreting GNeil's characters and stories through scent.

(No, they haven't got any Good Omens scents. Yet?)

OMG this whole site is AMAZING!

Oooo! While they're not strictly GO, there are some applicable scents on the sin page!

Particularly the "Come and See" set, Anathema and a few others. ^_^

Just out of curiosity, what do you think Azi and Crowley's scents would contain?

I wonder what "snake oil" really smells like...

Bookdust and sweet cakes must be part of Aziraphales scent. Perhaps apple, something burnt (for brimstone) and some sharp, spicy part for Crowley?

For Aziraphale:
*Old book smell
*Vanilla (?)

For Crowley:
*Apple
*Ginger
*Ginseng

Just my idea, and I like your ideas, dancing_moon and vulgarweed.

I believe Neil said somewhere that they're talking about possibly releasing some Stardust-based scents in the future. There might be snags with GO since they'd probably have to OK anything with Pterry as well.

It should be noted that The Carousel is a non-profit venture. All the proceeds from the Gneil scents go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, so do your part and buy yummy smelly things!! ^_^

Also, for those who can't afford to buy whole bottles, there are decant circles and such that are currently going on, so look up the BPAL forum or one of the LJ groups if you want to sample but can't afford whole bottles (sinandsalvation has several circles which may still have openings).
