this is my second child, however with ny first daughter (who will almost be 6 by the time the baby is born) I was young, and in a bad place in my life, so my mom took care of all the baby purchases, and pretty much everything except for the birthing process, lol.

This time around, I feel like I'm a first time mom all over again! My question is,

OMG! You're pregnant again too?! Congrats!!!

Sorry I'm not really much help with the other questions. I think as parents you should prob buy the big things (furniture and stuff) I'd put everything else on the registry and then buy whatever you don't receive as a gift.

Yes I am!!! Total surprise, since my husband and I just got married in April, and found out I was preggo in June, lol! But we're excited! So glad you're back on LJ!

I'd say the parents should buy the crib (unless your parents or his parents offer) and dresser since the room and nesting is a more personal thing. All the other things should be put on the registry. I didn't buy anything myself until I found out the sex of the baby... If you're not finding out the sex I say after the ultrasound. Not sure if that helps or not :)
