I don't know how "hard core" this is, but me and my mom always use white vinager for a lot of our cleaning. It's child safe, you don't have to use gloves, not too bad smelling, and cheap. I use it mostly to mop the floors and other hard surfaces. You mix a little with some hot water, and that's it!

I use that as well, but for the stuck on stuff, I find it doesn't give me the scrubbing power I need (steel wool might, but it is also rough on my surfaces) so I dunno. I used 409 for the stuck on and greasy stuff, but now I don't want to be inhaling it and don't know what to do! I could just make my husband clean that stuff (lol). I am making a baby here (lol)

Maybe a face mask? Definitely gloves, you don't want your skin to absorb any chemicals. Baking soda or lemon juice. That's all I got.

I don't know if you're a member of hip_domestics, but I bet if you make a post asking them over there someone will be able to help you.
