Title: Favorite Memories {One Shot}
Pairing: Past Kemaru, Past Alvin
Rating: PG
Summary:Kevin has to write a paper about his favorite memory. So he goes to Kiseop for help though who knows what memory he will choose to write.
Warning: Character death. Sorta kinda I really dunno how to put it to be honest XD.

A/N: This was originally written as I had a paper to write and I couldn’t think of anything to write but I gots it figured out ^_^

He was sitting at the desk staring at the blank screen in front of him. Though he was trying to figure out what to write for his three page paper that was due tomorrow.

"Ugh!" He slammed his fingers down on the keys causing the letters to scroll across the screen.

"Everything alright?" A familiar voice asked.

The young man turned around in his chair and gave the 'Are you kidding me?' look.

"Sorry Kevin didn't know that you felt this way about homework." The young man looked back down at his English textbook. "Kevin do you think you could help me with this? I don't understand it"

"If you write this paper for me. Kiseop" Kevin replied making another key board slam.

"What's the topic?" Kiseop asked shifting over to the desk next to Kevin.

Kevin looked at Kiseop. "It's supposed to be about a memory you enjoyed and remember the most. But I have too many memories that I love and I can't choose one." Kevin sighed placing his head in his hands.

Kiseop placed a hand on Kevin's back and started to rub circles. "Calm down Kevin tell me your favorite ones and I can pick for you."

Kevin looked up to see Kiseop smile down at him. He then nodded and shifted himself so he could look the elder in the eyes before he spoke.

"It was about three years ago. We were just starting to train. You weren't with us at the time but the six of us were together."

"Kevin can you help Xander get the dance for Not Young he is almost there" The choreographer asked calmly.

Kevin nodded and moved towards Xander who was having a hard time getting the dance break down. After a few tries the elder furrowed his brow and leaned forward and turned to face Kevin who looked so calm and ready to attack anything.

"Xander don't give up. You really need to work on it a little more." Kevin smiled with a bright smile and decided to offer the elder some water.

"That's when Xander first really started talking to me. After a couple more rehearsals like that he got the dance down." Kevin finished.

Kiseop was still in front of Kevin waiting to see what the younger was going to say next. When neither of them said anything he spoke "Kevin lets move to the couch so I can sit please then tell me another one."

Kevin nodded and grabbed a notebook and a pen. Kiseop smiled at the younger man and both of them moved from next to the computer and sat on the couch. Kevin put his head in Kiseop's lap sighing a little as he tried to recall the next memory.

"Kiseop I miss both of them so much." The younger sighed and closed his eyes recalling the next thought that he had of his two best friends.

Kiseop ran his hands through Kevin's hair trying to calm the younger down. "Just tell me the happy things you remember." he said softly.

Kevin smiled and thought back to the funniest thing he had with Alexander. "We were at Pops one day and it happened to be my birthday. Xander and I had made plans after recording to go out"

"Keeeeeeeeeeevvvvvviiiiiiinn" Xander's voice called out. "Where are you Birthday boy?"

Kevin walked out from behind a closed door. "Right here Xander ready to go?"

The elder nodded and moved to get his jacket before pulling the younger man with him. They were on their break from recording and the elder had to keep him out of the studio for at least a half hour as everything was prepared.

“Xander, where are we going?” Kevin asked calmly not worried about where they were headed.

“It’s a surprise.” Xander replied pulling him into an alley.

“X-x-xander. Why are we in an alley?” The younger asked calmly.

Xander smiled and leaned forward. “Because I wanted to give you your birthday gift here.” He smiled and pulled out a small box.

Kevin smiled and took the box from Xander and opened it. He gasped and looked up at the elder. “Are these…… Couple rings?”

Xander nodded before grabbing Kevin and pulling him into a tight embrace. “Kevin, will you be mine and only mine?”

Kevin nodded and tightened his grip on the elder. He then leaned his head up just slightly and kissed him softly on the cheek.

Kevin sighed. “That had been the best birthday I had but-“ He stopped.

“Tell me what happened?” Kiseop asked rubbing soft circles on Kevin’s back.

“But- but- about a month later Xander saw Kibum and I talking in the same alley. And he left me. He threw his ring at me and told me to find someone new. I didn’t realize that me talking to Kibum would put a rift in the relationship.” Kevin sighed and rolled onto his side away from Kiseop’s body.

“Well what’s the next thing you remember?” Kiseop asked calmly. He then added in English. “Remember to make it happy.”

Kevin giggled at the English Kiseop was learning. ‘At least he is trying’ He thought to himself before starting with the next memories. “Xander and I had been split for about two months before Kibum made a move on me.”

”Kevin are you ready to go?” Kibum asked down the hall.

“Yep I sure am. Are you?” Kevin said walking out of the bedroom.

Kibum nodded and led them out of the shared apartment. “I know it’s only been a couple of months but I am finding that I am really starting to like you.”

Kevin stopped in his tracks and looked at the older male confused. “Did you say what I think you just said?” He asked unwavering.

Kibum nodded. “Kevin you don’t have to say yes but please just understand that I… How do I say it…Am falling for you.” Kibum said calmly trying not to scare the younger.

Kevin’s freighted look went away. “You know ever since Xander and I split I have been thinking the same thing. I thought it was just me.” Kevin ran up to the older man and gave him a tight hug. “This is the best Chinese New Year yet.”

“That was when Kibum and I started out but that went to the pits when Xander wanted to become closer again. I’m not going to lie I did miss him a lot but Kibum took it the wrong way and broke it off.” Kevin sighed and looked up at the older man. “Kiseop?” The younger asked.

“Yes Kevin I know what you are saying.” Kiseop said calmly. “Why not do this for your paper. You write about each experience and say which one you loved the most. I know you miss them both but I think they are happy with the loved ones they have.”

Kevin nodded “But, I sorta need to balance it out a little.” Kevin started. “I need at least one more… Wait nevermind I got one.”

Kiseop smiled “Now will you hurry and type that up so you could please help me with my English” He ruffled Kevin’s hair and pushed him off the couch making a loud ‘oof’ as he landed on the floor.

Kevin glared up at the other before standing and moving back to the computer that was waiting the younger of the two. Kiseop stood up and brushed himself off as he heard the clicking of the keys on the keyboard.

~~~The next day~~~
“Kevin will you please read your paper to the class?” The teacher instructed.
Kevin nodded and stood up. He cleared his throat before starting.
“This was only supposed to be one memory that we loved but I have four.” He started out trying to keep his voice steady. “I had two great friends who I loved dearly. Xander and Kibum. Both of them were like brothers to me before May 16, 2010. I will get to what happened on that day later. I had been at a recording for Pops in Seoul with Xander and Isak…”
Kevin continued reading his paper saying those three memories. When he got to the third one he paused not sure exactly if he should read it, but continued on. “U-Kiss was at an event and Kibum and I were playing games in the arcade. I’m not that good at those types of games but I gave it a try. I had been split from him for about a year at this time. Xander happened to be there as well. We all sat down at a little café and I ordered a pizza for us to share. It would be the last time all of us were together. We didn’t know what was to come in the near future. We were only there to have fun. We made a promise to each other that no matter what happened we would continue with our dreams. We had all agreed to this and went and managed to have a food fight.”
A door opened and closed as Kiseop walked into the classroom with a gloomy expression on his face. Kevin saw this expression and looked back and forth from the paper and Kiseop. Kiseop nodded and Kevin blinked with a slight nod in response.
Kevin then looked back at his paper and started talking again. “I do realize that this was supposed to be happy memories but there is one memory that I will never forget. On May 16, 2010 is the last time we saw each other. After the food fight we had gone our separate ways. I told Xander I would tweet him every day and then told Kibum I would call him to go out for coffee when we had time off. That was the last thing I said to them. We were on our way home when a car didn’t see the three of us crossing the street. Kibum was the first to react and pushed Xander and I out of the way. Xander in turn pushed me back onto the sidewalk. With this Xander was badly injured and is currently still in the hospital doing therapy. Kibum on the other hand is in a coma. As you all can see now I am fine, though my heart is torn between the two I still talk to them every day I have coffee with them when I get a chance. I tweet Xander when I can if I’m not calling him. These are my most cherished memories even if the last one isn’t happy it’s the best I have. Each memory we have can be made how we choose. We can either have a happy ending or a sad one. I try to remember the good ones and not the bad ones.” Kevin finished reading and set the paper on the teacher’s desk.
Kevin then walked towards the back of the classroom where Kiseop was standing.
“Kevin.” Kiseop looked down and pulled the younger into a tight hug. “I’m sorry”
Kevin pushed against Kiseop and ran out the door stopping right at the end of the hall. He didn’t want to leave school but he didn’t want to stay here. He had just spilled his most cherished memories as they were just brought down with two words. He didn’t know how long he had been standing there before he felt two arms wrap themselves around him and pull him into a tighter hug.
“They took him off today at 11 this morning. I tried to convince them to wait for you to say your goodbyes. His parents didn’t want to wait.” Kiseop flipped the younger around and pulled him closer into a tighter hug.
Kevin sobbed as the bell rang neither of the males moved not caring who saw them. Kevin needed to cry and this was his only chance as they were flying to Thailand tomorrow.
