So, Thanksgiving. Gonna be the first year I'm not with Grandpa and Uncle Rick. Not feeling so good so there was no way I was getting on a plane and flying back to America. I mean, it'd be great to see them again and all, but I know my mom and her boy-toy are gonna be there. And thats the last thing I want while I'm sick

No way I am leaving you here by yourself when you are sick. My parents are going to France anyway to spend time with my brother. I think it is good that they are going up. They need to make up for lost time. I can make you soup if you would like that. Soup is better for you anyway.

[She turns off the webcam and turns to face Sam.] What, your not going too? Can't ask you to skip your family get-together just to look after me. It's probably just a cold anyway. [Vague hand waving.] I'll pick up some of those microwavable soups or something. So you go and have fun.

I'm not skipping out. I am just not going. My parents need to see my brother with out me. There are some issues between them that need airing out. They need to talk things through so that we can move on as a family. I will get to see them again sometime for Christmas. If everything goes well perhaps we will have Christmas in France. You can even come along if you would like and have no plans.

Christmas in France? Wow. Now that sounds like fun. Definatly more fun than seeing mom and her new family again. But do you really want me tagging along with you and your family?
