I met Rafa at Nice airport today !
I read on Rafa's website that he should travel to Monte-Carlo today.
Yesterday night I was thinking : I live in Nice, Rafa is travelling to Monte-Carlo ... And I should stay like everyday working home without trying to welcome him ?
Was not possible !
I watch all his matches since 3 years ... I mean really ALL HIS MATCHES ! No exception ! Because of him I'm on JET LAG all the year ! LOL ! I support him, I paint him ... and he will be around and I should stay home?
It's was just crazy that I could imagine this !
So this morning I jumped out of my bed, checking the flights from Mallorca : Via Madrid, via Barcelona, via Paris ? I had to choose or to stay all the day long at the airport and moving fast between the 2 terminals ...
I saw one flight form Barcelona at 2.05 pm and I decided that it was Rafa's fligth !
I arrived at the airport at 2pm, the fligth was landing.
My husband advised me to go to another gate for VIP persons and private fligths. But I was sure that Rafa would use the "normal" gate and I stayed in front of it.
Time was so long ! At 3pm, I was still waiting. Nobody, no fans, no press. I knew that I took the risk that he arrived by another way or time. My husband on the phone advised me to go home, that I was loosing my time. He was sorry for me.
But I wanted to stay and wait !
At 3.15 pm, the door was opened by a young lady. I thought " She looks like Xisca !" She was Xisca ! A few seconds later the next door was opened and Rafa was there ! Just in front of me ! Less than one meter !
My mind stopped.
(I have to say that my mind stopped working, but a part of it could not do anything but noticed how much his jeans was so sexy when he was walking ...). I was at this moment lost in my thoughts .... I couldn't do nothing else but watched, watched ... him from behind !
So he was walking (he walks so fast !) and I started to run to reach him. I arrived close to him and I said "Hola Rafa !". He said "Hola" and then he stopped walking. I asked him to sign a picture from last year.
And I could speak a little bit with him. I told him "Good luck for Monte-Carlo. I will be there all the week and support you". He was smiling and said "Thank you"
