Please refrain from breaking my heart. >:(

It's so beautiful though! I managed to forget everything I'd just read and got totally immersed in them at the lake so ending up being wrenched back into reality with Morgana was heart breaking. All the angsty feels!

I'm sorry!! It had to be done. It was the only way of getting a little bit of fluff out of them. :(

LIES! There can so be fluff them! It just... needs to be in the past... or AU... Can we just pretend that the last 2 1/2-ish series never happened?

*cries*

*kicks the PTB*

Ah yes, but then I'm pretty sure that I would be accused of just ignoring everything Morgana has done just to suit my ship. *rolls eyes*

Oh! And this: “The ‘artificial constructs of men’? This is why the King declared you overeducated at the age of eleven." Brilliant! I love that line! It's so perfectly them, y'know? I'm making no sense here. Anyway, I loved it.

Aww, thank you! I've always imagined Morgana to be the product of timey wimey reincarnation, and that she's lived way more modern lives before and is now stuck in this time where all of her opinions and views are completely not understood.

Ha! I read only the fluffy bit this time (I'm not sure I would have made it through the entire thing, tbh, I need someone to keep my eyes open for me). a;sgihwioghsdh Gwen/Morgana fluff is the best fluff! And you even had mermaids! Well... the idea of mermaids... I'd love to hear more about Morgana's mermaids. I'm actually kind of having AMMB young Morgana and Gwen feels right now, but they're not making sense in my head because I need sleep. I'll come back when I wake up and tell you about them. Damnit, I'm getting headcanons about your fic again. It was bound to happen, I suppose ( ... )

Yeah, I have the horrible feeling that Morgana came to realise that Uther did not listen to a word she said, and that was when she started having to use Arthur to get what she wanted - and she still would challenge Uther, not because she thought it would do any good, but because she could not leave him unchallenged.

I have this lovely image of Morgana ranting about one thing or other in the privacy of her chambers, and Gwen just smiling that indulgent smile that she always smiled at her. She doesn't really understand a word that Morgana is saying - though she's pretty sure that she gets the gist of it - but she doesn't care, because she loves watching Morgana be so passionate about the injustices in the world.

I've missed my Gwen/Morgana stories too! I've always loved writing them so, so much.

I dunno, I have a feeling that Gwen would understand what Morgana was ranting on about. Maybe not right away, but she would catch on. She is very intelligent after all. A different kind of intelligence than Morgana's, but still. I doubt Morgana would stand for any friend of hers smiling and nodding and not grasping what she was trying to say, because Morgana wants people to understand her, and Gwen not understanding her ideas would really let her down. And we saw Gwen take on a lot of Morgana's chiding of Arthur in late s1, early s2. She didn't go after Arthur in the same way (the manipulating, twisted around her finger thing wasn't there), but she definitely called him out on his shit when it came to his treatment of lower class people and women ( ... )

That's pretty much what I was getting at. Morgana may be using word and phrases that are completely alien to Gwen, she always manages to get what Morgana is talking about. She smiles indulgently not just because of Morgana's passion but because she has to express herself in the most complex way possible. But Morgana doesn't explain the language she uses, because she doesn't want Gwen to feel like she's patronising her and trying to tutor her. Eventually though, she finds Gwen reading some of her books by candlelight and from then on, Gwen matches her pretty well.

You and your headcanons for my fics! At least you aren't inventing a ship in this one!

How so very sad. I loved that she kept the memories to look at when she needed to. Great job.
