I need more! I need so much more! The flashbacks are all such a fairytale. Perfect and beautiful and sweet, and everything I want Gwen/Morgana to be. And the now-bits are so heart wrenching! Morgana needs a happily ever after with her Gwen so badly.

And now I really need Morgana in uniform. I may talk with my flatmate about sketching it for me... Gods, that image I have in my head is just so hot!

Thanks! I'm glad you thought it was a bit fairytale-like, that's what I was hoping for.
And yes, the idea of Morgana is incredibly hot. It really needs to happen... now.

Hmmm this is a nice twist. I'm curious why she can't marry who she wants, if Arthur is still around, she doesn't matter? Something for the next chapter? Can't wait for part 2.

It doesn't matter how far she is from the throne (In fact, she's increadibly close to the throne and as second in line is thought of as quite likely to be queen). Members of the royal family cannot just marry who they want. Until very recently there was a stringent vetting process which even included medical exams for women prospectively marrying into the family to ensure they were virgins. I'm sure you have heard (and if you havent then google it) about Princess Margaret being forced between marrying the man she loved (a member of staff and a divorcee) and giving up her title, right to the throne and royal incomes. There have also been many more cases. King Edward VIII abdicated to marry a divorcee.

So good. Love the flash backs to see how we got to Morgana asking Gwen for marriage.

Can't wait to read Part 2.

Hmm except that today's royals don't really follow that line of thinking. Prince Edward lived with Sophie for years before ever getting married and she's a commoner, not titled. Same with the cousins, same with Prince Andrew[ even if it did end up in divorce] and of course Kate Middleton is just a commoner as well. And she certainly was not virgin before marrying Prince William. The medical checks are now not for virginity but if they are capable of having children. The only thing stopping a marriage these days is still the Roman Catholic rule. Granted a servant might be viewed a little out there but not by much.Indeed from what has been going on, it seems that now it's better to live with the person for some time before marrying, the thinking being the better you know them the better the marriage. And rank and title has gone out the window. The old ways of thinking have now gone, the queen even realizing that they don't fit with today's lifestyle which is why she allowed Edward and Sohpie and William and Kate etc to live with each other ( ... )

It isn't set in modern day, not exactly, and as I said before, things only very recently started to change. All the cases you stated are very, very recent. Edward is Seventh in line to the throne, and it is only little over 10 years ago that he was married to Sophie. That's a completely different context. The rules are much stricter for those closest to the throne. I also didn't say that things are as strict now as they were when Diana married Prince Charles, that was the time I was talking about that involved the exams etc ( ... )
