among other things... d'you mind teaching me how you give just random blurbs of color in your icons? Like how your La Tour Eiffel pics are black and white and there's a bit of red in it. I'd greatly appreciate it! <3
I really only play with layers. Like in the Eiffel icons, I created a blank layer and changed the Blending Change on the Layers Palette to Linear Dodge. (You could also use Screen or Color Dodge - play with the three of them based on your personal preference :D)
After that, on that same layer, I used one of the basic brushes (the plain, round brush) to make a streak across the image. Play with the colors on the Colors palette, because they all have different outcomes. In my icons, I used the basic and dark reds. :DDD If it's too bright, then you could always fix the opacity of the layer.
