If there's anything that I admire so far in blogging it's Stephen Fry. I like Stephen Fry's wit. I wish I have the same cleverness as he has. I am saying that because I am blogging right now and so far I have been thinking of what to blog about. Since, nothing so substantial seem to cross my mind, I might as well be spontaneous. and you know, I guess I know what you can begin your writing with. You read a lot. You watch films. Why don't you write reports about read books and seen films? Such writing helps to systematize and analyze your impression, to learn writing logically and deep, to feel the composition of your creation. Sometimes writing about a film or book, analyzing your impression, you can find smth new, you can understand smth new, what you haven't realized before. It is a very good experience of designing your writing style and improving the ability to see the the main point

hi thanks for the suggestion. I used to do book review but i realized that my "reviews" seem to lack depth. it sounded more like a rant to me. :( I still need to develop my writing in this area.

It sounds like the words of a kid, who doesn't want to write an essay for school lesson. If you are really going to be a writer in some way, you must learn to write about everything, and reviews- is a good training for your writing style:) Don't give up
A lot of famous writers began their career from being reporters. For example, a genius writer Remark was a war reporter and then he could write his amazing book 'The friends'
