"Well, private school didn't do anything to his imagination," Mr Julius said.

Dinah gave Mr. Julius an injured look. "There could be zombies. You don't know. There's ways. Really. Haven't you seen Hellraiser?" She turend back to Priestly. "No, but did you have any classes with Professor De'mon?"

Priestly thought a moment, then shook his head. "I don't think so. He was one of the radio people though, right?"

"Yeeeah. Well. He died this week," Dinah said, putting down her sandwich and stopping to take a drink of water for a moment. "Which I guess he expected to happen soon... and Didi? Jaime's roommate?" This was even worse, if even more inevitable, according to stuff Didi had said. "She's-- she died too. The day before." She propped her chin in her hand. "Not at all connected. Just coincidence. But. It made leaving... sadder."

Priestly couldn't do anything but just gape at that. "Holy crap, Dinah!"

"I know! Nothing seems to happen like that there, but this week..." She shook her head, then said softly, "I am so, so, so glad to be here."

Dinah put down half her sandwich, then got up to stand on the stool and lean over the counter to give him a hug.
