That Canon SD1000 is actually quite a kickass camera. I'm vaguely considering getting one for when I don't want to/can't lug around my 3lb+ SLR (30D).

I'm going to Chicago for New Year's. I've been several times before, but what would you recommend for food there? I'll be using Couchsurfing, most likely, so I could be anywhere in town.

Really? Even one that's been dropped as many times as mine?

While I was there, I primarily made a point to go to places known for their vegan options.. My friend that I was staying with, Neil, and his housemate work at this great place called the Balanced Kitchen - the food is amazing. Hopleaf had really, really good beer. Pick Me Up Cafe was another great place and had wonderful vegan options as well as food for omnivores... That's just off the top of my head, look for more on my twitter as I update photos.

When I read something that clearly has had a lot of thought put into it, I can't help but be moved to respond with matching diligence.

Well, I'm a white, 26-year-old woman in America, and I had no idea what "The Waiting Place" was until Google was kind enough to explain it to me. But I think I know what you mean. I'm trying to build momentum, too...I'm trying.
