alright, calling all my artist friends...

things are really ready to start rolling! i have officially finished two of my rhyming abc books. i am debating trying to draw them for myself.. it could be simple enough for me to do it, but when i finish the story books i will definitely need someone to draw those, too complicated for my meager drawing skillz.

that is such a cool idea. I find spending time with kids has me feeling a lot more creative - I'm totally into making crafts and models of our solar system with them just to see their faces light up as you explain something new and exciting. Ahhh. :)

yes, working with kids for the win! i feel like my whole life has gotten in shape since i fully gave up working in retail jobs and junk and fully persued working with kids. the health insurance and other benefits definitely weren't worth it.

Hey there. There's probably some sort of rule against this, but: my work just got me a brand-new, still-in-the-box, rather nice laser printer. I didn't ask for it, don't need it, and would be more than willing to let you use it for your project. Unfortunately, I can't give it to you (it belongs to the company), but you can come over and use it pretty much whenever you want. If that helps. Let me know.

aw, i read about you getting that.. that's super sweet of you to offer, but i have been wanting to get my own printer for a while, so i think i should finally do it. if i was completely broke and had everything ready to go to print, i would totally take you up on this, but i've got the money saved and i haven't even got the art situation sorted out yet (though it looks like it will be easier to get than i imagined, from the above comments), so i am not ready to print. thank you so much though, you're totally a sweet heart!

i would love to see your writing dear blue, and i love drawing too! if you have a lot of friends all willing to draw, maybe we can have an artist's collective and you can take samples from different people to include in your books. i don't know if i can whip up 26 images, but i would like to try a few. i have been getting back into arts and crafts lately and this sounds sooo awesome! let's meet for tea or coffee or something and talk. :)
