I HAVEN'T FINISHED IT YET I'M HALF WAY THROUGH AND OH MY GOD!!!!!!! LYTTON!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HAPPY? WHERE IS ALL THE HAPPY?!! I HOPE THIS ENDS WITH HAPPY!!!! I KNEW WHEN ICRARUS SENT PSYCHE AWAY THAT IT WOULDN'T BODE WELL FOR CALYPSO BUT LYTTON! LYTTON! THIS BETTER END GOOD OR I WILL GIVE CEITHIN A DOG AND HAVE IT RUN OFF A CLIFF!
ARE YOU REALLY THREATENING ME WITH DEAD DOGGIES???????lovelylyttonFebruary 4 2011, 16:04:38 UTC
I think all the happy disappeared when I saw the prompt and then combined with my almost nervous breakdown earlier this week, this sort of wrote itself.

then combined with my almost nervous breakdown earlier this week,
Well now I feel bad. Maybe I won't kill an doggie. Ok, fine no dead dog. And rereading Tree fic helped. A little. Still, Calyspo was ripped to tiny bitty pieces and suffered a horribly long, painful, cruel death.
I don't think Mina has much luck with that name Calypso...it seems to herald all kinds of doom for her... from now on, anytime you use that name I will have chocolate at the ready.

I think that's a good course of action. Chocolate is a good remedy against everything from headache to the apocalypse. And don't feel bad, I give as good as I get (or rather the other way around), so I think I might actually deserve all the dead doggie threats.
And now I have to use the name Calypso in a happy fic, so that you can't deal how a story will end just based on names. Damn. You're too clever.
SO THEY KEEP THROWING THEM DOWN THE STAIRS AND LEAVE THEM TO DIE EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T HAVE TO?!?!?!?!?!?! I DON'T KNOW WHICH IS WORSE!!! LYTTON! I CANNOT REMOVE THESE CAP LOCKS!!!
Icarus and Calypso really clicked and she felt so important and was so terrified. Just imagine what he went through, knowing what would happen to her, knowing that he indirectly caused her death because he looked at Psyche once and fell for her so hard that he couldn't bear to take her to the temple and took her friend instead.
For a minute, it looked like I'd have to drop out of uni or change my course of studies because of bureaucratic nonsense, and since I want to pursue a career in academia, that scared me beyond belief. And while things are still not as much in order as I want them to be, they're kind of sorted and I should be able to graduate as planned. Quite the shocker though.
And thanks for the compliment on the fic, I saw the prompt and knew I had to do something with it. I'm so happy that sm_monthly is running again, and I love the new theme. Are you planning to write something for it?
Oh, sweetie!!! *hugs* I'm glad that things will work out, but I'm so very sorry. And yes, I can understand how much that scared you, I know how I felt when I learned that they were discontinuing the PhD program at my school, so yeah, I totally understand.
I honestly just found out via you and V that a) sm_monthly is back and b) that this month can be related to S/S.
Unfortunately, with my sick and the need to focus on the dissertation proposal, I don't know if I'll be able to get anything written for it or not.
You're sick? Honey, what's wrong? Please tell me it's only a cold and that you're wearing thick socks and drinking hot tea to make it go away.
And of course, the proposal always comes first, that's not even a question. It must be hard enough as it is to balance your academic career with working in the restaurant simultaneously. *hugs*

“Yes.” The lie lingers between them, and then, under the hot afternoon sun, Icarus begins to weep.
