Clark was not crying! *sniffle* Superheroes don't cry.

Nor was he lost, because Superheroes didn't get lost. He just didn't know where he was because he'd never been in the big scary castle before and didn't know how to get back out. He was supposed to ask an adult but he couldn't find any adults just big kids and he found he was kinda scared of them except he wasn't scared because superheroes don't get scared.

He shyly peeked round the door frame in hopes of finding someplace or someone familiar.

Lana looked up and saw a teary little boy peeking around the corner. "Hey you," she said, getting up carefully and going over to him.

She crouched down. "Are you lost, sweetie?"

Clark put on his brave face. But he was very happy to see someone he knew. "Hi Lana." he said. "I-I'm not lost, but Sigo is."

A weetiny duckling head popped out of Clark's jammie pocket. //Am not!//

"Clark?" she said, eyes wide. "And Saigo?"

She smiled despite herself. "Why don't you two come in and sit down for a bit and we can figure out how to get Saigo home."

//Or rather, Clark home// she said in Duck to placate Saigo-duckling.

"Okay." Clark nodded at the same time that Saigo agreed. "Sigo was really scared." he said.

"I bet," Lana said. "You two are a long way from home."

She picked him up to sit him in the comfy chair. "Would you like some milk?" she asked.

Clark hugged her when she picked him up then swung his legs as he sat. "Yes please." he said. Momma always told him to be polite.

Lana hugged him back, then quickly got him a glass of milk. She checked and found some bread and offered a piece to Saigo.

"So, how did you end up all the way out here?" Lana asked them.

Saigo took the bread gratefully, as Clark carefully sipped the milk. "I was lookin' for peeple to save." he said solemnly. "Cause I'm Super hero."

"Ah," Lana said seriously. "A Superhero. Did you find anyone to save?"

"No." Clark said, disapointed. "There were some badguys with waterbaloons in the park, but they got away. But I met lotsa other super heroes in cartas."

"That's too bad," Lana said. "But maybe you just scared the other bad guys away when they knew you were coming. You look very brave in that cape."

"Well, see, there you go," she said with a smile as she gave him another hug. "You did a good job today scaring away all the bad guys!"

With a gleeful squeal, he hugged her back, then hopped up in the chair to strike a heroic pose, almost toppling over and spilling the remainder of the milk. Fortunately he'd drunk enough that it all stayed in the cup.

Lana tried to grab the cup and him before he spilled it. "Woah, there," she said, laughing delightedly. "Careful, sweetie. Even Superheros can hurt their heads if they fall."
