Ahhh~~~~ it's summer now. I have TIME!!!! :D

This summer, I'm going to try to learn new things. For example, tried to learn how to make 3D illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and an animated GIF icon in Photoshop.

Well, i'm learning the 3D part of Illustrator really. My first love was Photoshop, but now it's InDesign *_*. What kind of things do you do in Illustrator??

oh, G00 comm is just how I found you so just thought I'd mention that.. ^^;;

I started using Illustrator before I ever had Photoshop, and I guess the way it works just makes more sense to me (layers ftw!). Like the way you make masks in AI and PS are completely opposite, and AI just seems more logical to me. InDesign is acutally my second love, haha ♥

Hmm, I haven't had a chance to do much in Illustrator in a while. I used to try figuring out how to do portraits with it (from minimalist to realistic - I think I ended up somewhere inbetween), and then I used it to do some science-y illustrations for people at college.

3D effects are cool. You can do some really neat stuff with skins and revolve and all that, but then there are some effects that you still need to do by hand (like spirals for DNA helices >.>).
