The next day was a little awkward for Kevin. After he answered Alexander’s question, Kibum had gotten distant again. Even after they talked the night before, Kibum was cold stone once more. It worried him and it made their first actual rehearsal tensed, especially since Kibum was his dance partner. Kibum hadn’t had any type of expression, and it took some nagging before the older boy took to dancing with Kevin, holding him against his body. The only down fall…no talking was going on.

Today, U-Kiss,- they were just named this-were going to learn how to do the Waltz. Soohyun was paired with the Choreographer since he was the only on-

“Kevin! Kibum!” The instructor had stopped to look at him and Kibum. They were body-to-body, waltzing. Kevin never said he couldn’t waltz, and neither did Kibum; Kevin learned from his mother.

“What?” Kibum sounded thoroughly annoyed.

“I didn’t know you two could waltz. It’s pretty amazing if you ask me.” Her attention went to Kevin. “Where did you learn?”

Kevin flushed. “I…I learned from my…um-boyfriend.”

Kibum loosened his hold and made space between them. “I learned from my hyung and his band mate, Jung Min.” The instructor didn’t freak out like she did earlier when she thought Kim Hyung Joon was there. Poor Kibum had to look off to the side as to not glare at the woman. Then it took all Kevin could do to get Kibum to finally dance with him.

The instructor let Soohyun go. He then walked over and took Dongho away from a giggling Alexander, who subsequently pouted. “Kevin-ah!” He shot back up pretty quick when Kibum completely broke their slight bond-which felt like a punch to Kevin’s stomach.

Kevin didn’t get much time to react before Alexander was pulling him off to the other side of the studio, his arms comfortably around his waist. It felt different from when Kibum had his arm around him, but that was probably because Alexander was a touchy-feely guy. Unlike Kibum.

“Oppa, let’s dance and show them how’s it’s done.”

Kibum, who the instructor was talking to, complied and took her into his arm. Kevin watched in awe as Kibum moved gracefully across the floor. When they were together, they probably never looked THAT BEAUTIFUL. Her hair swayed as their bodies rocked together. Kevin sighed inwardly.

“Does it bother you?”

“Huh?” Kevin turned towards his hyung, trying to figure out what he said. “I’m sorry, what did you say?”

“I asked if it bothers you. Them.” Alexander nodded towards Kibum and the dance choreographer.

Kevin felt his face heat up. “W-Why would it bother me? I have a boyfri-“

“No you don’t. You’ve never spoken about him until yesterday when I brought him up at dinner. Then you’re NEVER on the phone. You cling to Kibum like he’s your husband and you’re his fragile wife. Just tell me Kevin, am I right?” Alexander smiled innocently.

Kevin was a tad frantic now. How had Alexander seen through his lies? And why was he bringing it up now? Kevin shook his head, feeling his body heat up from embarrassment and guilt. “Hyung…please don’t tell…” He looked over his shoulder to make sure no one was listening, especially Kibum. He turned back with pleading eyes. “Please, hyung.”

Alexander smiled at him kindly and turned him around by his shoulder-Kibum was coming back for his partner. “Don’t worry, baby, I won’t tell anyone. That’s your job.” Kevin was shoved playfully by Alexander. He went right towards Kibum and collided with him.

“Kevin, are you alright?” Kibum asked in concern when Kevin didn’t step back after running into him. How could he? Alexander knew his secret and could tell the others. What if they hated him? What if they-no-what if Kibum didn’t want anything to do with him? That would have his world crashing down because Kibum had become his best friend.

“Kevin?”

With Kibum’s voice low and by his ear, Kevin didn’t let his worries overcome him. He sniffled then pulled away from Kibum, who had been holding onto his shoulders tightly, and smiled. “Let’s continue.” Kibum nodded and they began waltzing once more.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest of practice went by smoothly. Sort of. Kevin kept getting distracted by Alexander and kept getting scolded by Kibum. Soohyun was a little confused because he thought Kevin liked Kibum, not Alexander. Then again, the boy did have a very secluded boyfriend overseas.

“Hyung! Stop! We’re technically in public,” Dongho growled as Soohyun grounded their hips together. After he got Dongho off that first night, the boy kept his distance, but after a few days of no touching, Dongho came back to him…sort of-only if you count Soohyun sneaking into his and Kevin’s room one night and giving the boy a blow-job. The next night, Dongho came to him with tears in his eyes asking why he couldn’t get himself off. Soohyun had chuckled and helped the boy out. Since that night, Soohyun has been assisting him every night.

Soohyun moved them across the floor, going by Kevin and Kibum, and continued to tease the younger one. “But you’re so hard, Dongho. I don’t want to leave you in this state.” Dongho gasped when Soohyun nipped his ear. Mean while, Soohyun had his knee gently brushing against the boy’s all-too-noticeable erection gaining moans and breathy gasps. Oh, this was like recess all over again for Shin Soohyun.

It was another thirty minutes of agony for Dongho, but utter contentment for Soohyun, before they all finally got to stop and take a breather. It was just ballroom dancing, so none of them were tired-just hungry. As they ate, they sat in a circle. To Soohyun’s dismay-needless to say to Kibum’s, Alexander’s, and Eli’s, too-Dongho ended up between Kiseop and the instructor, Kevin was between Kiseop and Eli. Eli had sat down next to Kiseop, but the elder one made him move so Kevin could sit there.

“After we eat, we’ll start on some more entertaining dances. Maybe do a little SHINee or Super Junior.” Out of nowhere, the guys started singing, “Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, naega, naega, naega meonjeo. Nege, nege, nege ppajyeo. Ppajyeo, ppajyeo, beoryeo baby.” When done, they all started laughing-even cold Kibum.

When they finished eating and talked some more, they got down to business. Three hours later, they all left the studio sore and some-what refreshed. Even though they were done there, they still had a few more things to do before they went home. They went to fittings, got their hair done, and decided on who had what part in the group:

Soohyun- Power vocal/Lead vocal
Kevin- Lead vocal
Kibum- Assumed leader/Lead vocal
Kiseop/Dongho- Backup
Eli/Alexander- Rap vocals

Not like they would really remember that, but it was nice to have an outline.

Kibum offered to make the music if they could get a song written and a beat for it. They didn’t believe him-except Kevin (surprise, surprise)-so he called his hyung to tell them the songs they’ve composed together. Soohyun made a mental note to never tell Kibum he is wrong, or challenge him like Kevin did. Kibum said that he was pretty good at Japanese, so Kevin challenged him to a bet-whatever Kibum said in Japanese, Kevin could translate into Korean or English.

“Alright, Kevin, try this: Kawaii, Kevin! Kowai, Kevin… Sugoi, Kibum-nii-chan!” Alexander laughed when Kibum finished; he knew what Kibum said while he, Soohyun, tried to figure it out.

“Uhm… ‘Scary, Kevin! Cute, Kevin! Cool…? Kibum-hyung…’?” When Kibum shook his head and chuckled, Kevin’s face fell. “What?!”

“Kevin, sweetie, you had the first two parts backwards, the last part was almost ALL wrong.” Sweetie? Since when did Kibum call Kevin ‘Sweetie’? “I said, ‘Cute, Kevin! Scary, Kevin… Awesome, Kibum-hyung!’ Sorry, Binnie, maybe next time.” Kibum patted Kevin’s head and smiled.

And here they were, at an ice cream parlor, and Kevin and Kibum were at it again. Every time Kevin got it right, he got a bite of Kibum’s ice cream. When he got it wrong, Kibum got a bite of Kevin’s ice cream. Soohyun tried to do that with Dongho, but when he turned to the boy, he was already done, and Kiseop was trying to clean him up like he was the boy’s mother. Frowning, Soohyun turned back to Kibum and Kevin.

Kevin was hanging onto Kibum’s arm, begging him to buy another ice cream. Obviously, Kevin had gotten more wrong than right and Kibum got to eat both of the ice creams. Kibum pretended to ignore Kevin as he brushed the pouting boy off and walked away back into the parlor. Soohyun figured it was because Kibum went to go get Kevin another ice cream, but Kevin never thought of THAT as he turned to Eli and Alexander.

“Xander-hyung, will you buy me an ice cream? Kibummie ate mine like the jerk he is.”

Eli laughed along with Alexander. “Kevin, go buy your own. Kibum bought all of the ice creams today, so technically, he never ate yours; he ate his.” Eli smiled when Kevin had to think about that. Even though the boy’s hair was dyed, he sure did act like a true blond. Eli held up his hand when Kevin was about to protest. “Kevin, Kibum had the right to eat-“

“Here, Binnie.” Kibum had walked up without anyone noticing because Kevin had taken all of their attention. Even Kiseop and Dongho were gazing at the blond.

Kevin turned in surprise and looked like a little kid on Christmas. “Kibummie! You really did buy me another ice cream!” He took the ice cream, said his thanks, and took a bite. “Yummy! I love you, Bummie-hyung!” Kevin was too far off in his own little world to notice that everyone was staring at him.

Alexander and Eli rolled their eyes. Kiseop, Dongho, and Soohyun stared in disbelief and shock. Kibum? Kibum sat down in another seat and just stared blankly at the table. He must’ve been astounded, confused, or just plain disgusted. Soohyun didn’t know, but he was going with astounded-Kibum seemed to like Kevin too much to be disgusted.
