Prologue. Chapter One. Chapter Two. Chapter Three. Chapter Four. Kevin was lying on his bed, holding Mister Nuzzles close to his chest, tossing and turning with nothing to do. It was Saturday afternoon now and Kevin was tired. He was tired of all the weird things going on in the house and how lazy they all were; including him. He was also bored. Oh so bored. Dongho was over on his bed playing his PSP. Kiseop was in the kitchen whipping him up something to eat. Where were all the older guys? Off on their escapade of jobs.
Eli had gotten chosen to work at a grocery store as a greeter because he seemed so happy during the on-spot interview. Kevin found this amusing because Eli loves food and he suspected that the store would be out of food by the end of the day. Alexander had an interview at the mall; not sure what store, though. Soohyun hadn’t been lying the day before, he really did have an interview at a dance studio; Kevin saw why. Soohyun had the dancer’s body and could bust a move anywhere he went. Kibum had an interview at some amusement park; Kevin didn’t see how since he was always so stern looking. The irony of it made him giggle.
Kevin rolled onto his back. The thought of Kibum started bothering him and sent him into a world of thought. Kibum was always composed, unlike the others. He was straight, but most of all, mean. Right? Kevin sighed, closing his eyes. The day before Kibum had seemed like he was teasing him about Mister Nuzzles. Do mean people really do that and smile at the same time?
“He has a nice smile…”
“What?”
Kevin opened his eyes and turned onto his side to see Dongho looking over his PSP with an eyebrow raised. “What’s what?”
Dongho sat his PSP down on the bed, “You said, and I quote, ‘He has a nice smile’.”
“No I didn’t.”
“Yeah, you did.” Dongho was nodding, then suddenly smiled widely. “You thinking about your boyfriend?”
Kevin shot up in his bed, his face turning red. “What?! NO!” He gasped when he noticed Dongho’s wide eyes. Excusing himself, he stood from the bed and walked out of their room, taking Mister Nuzzles with him. When he got into the living room, he saw Kiseop in the recliner chair. He was eating some noodles with different types of vegetables.
“Hey. There’s some more on the stove if you want some.” Kiseop held up his bowl and smiled. “It’s good.”
Kevin smiled back at the guy. At least someone was nice to him and didn’t tease him. “I’ll try it later.” He sniffed the air, “It smells good!” he looked at Kiseop amazed, “You know how to cook?” He ran over to the recliner and looked down into the bowl, “The carrots are cut so perfectly! The cucumber is, too!”
Kiseop laughed a little. “Thanks, I guess. And to answer your question, I attempt at cooking. I’m not that good.”
Kevin looked up at Kiseop, serious now. “You don’t ‘toss’ salt like Kibum-hyung do you?”
Kiseop looked at Kevin questionably. When it registered what the boy meant, Kiseop sternly replied, “No.”
With a sigh of relief, Kevin gave Kiseop back his personal space. He took the few steps it took to the couch and plopped right down, still holding Mister Nuzzles. Looking around to make sure nothing was on the couch; Kevin stretched out, got comfortable, and closed his eyes. Even though he just had that mild distraction, he was still very surprised about what he said in the room where Dongho still was.
Whose smile had he been talking about?
Kibum’s.
Who was he thinking about?
Kibum.
Kevin sighed before turning on his side so he was facing the back of the couch. This was annoying. He was thinking about a guy that scared him. A guy that paid no attention to anyone. A guy that seemed like if he BLINKS the world is going to end. Maybe it was him, but this meant something. ‘Yeah, that I need a psychiatrist.’

“-vin…”
“Mmm. I don’t want to go to dance class, Mommy….”
“-evin!”
“No! I want to stay home and bake cookies with you!!!”
“KEVIN!”
Kevin shot up, his eyes wide and blinking. Breathing hard, he glanced to the side and up to see the person that had awakened him. To his dismay, but deep delight, there stood the one, the only, Kibum. He looked a little confused to Kevin’s eyes. Standing there rubbing the back of his neck, slouching a little, eyebrow raised, and mouth sat in a straight line. But how did he continue to look attractive? If Kevin did that he would look like a hobo or someone that just got in from a night of drinking.
Rubbing his eyes to remove the sleep, he yawned and spoke, “Kibum-hyung, what are doing here? I thought you had an interview?”
Kibum looked a little surprised, “I did,” he glanced at his watch, “Four hours ago. How long have you been asleep on the couch?”
Kevin stretched with his arms in the sir, still on the couch, but stopped and dropped his arms when he saw Kibum look away and- what was this?-blush. “What?” He looked around frantically before he saw what happened. His shirt was up enough for his stomach to be showing; it must’ve happened while he was asleep.
“Oh! Sorry, hyung!” Kevin quickly fixed himself before he jumped from the couch. When Kibum didn’t look at him, he bowed and apologized. Kibum never looked back at him, instead he turned completely away, his back stiff.
“It’s fine. Just…be cautious next time.” Without another word, Kibum walked away, leaving a highly confused Kevin standing limply at the side of the couch.

Kibum entered the kitchen casually and slowly. Looking around to make sure no one was around, he let out a long, heavy sigh. That had been strange. He had felt all the heat in his body rush downward when Kevin had stretched and he saw that the younger boy’s shirt had risen. Taking a deep breath, he plopped down at the table, holding his heaving chest in the midst of all this.
He didn’t get to rest long before a knock was heard at the door. Did they lock someone out? No. Eli had pranced to the shower because he smelled like a mixture of foods. Alexander had gone to their room to get some comfortable clothes on because the studio wanted him there in an hour. Soohyun? Only God knew. But Kibum guessed back to bother Dongho. Was anyone expecting someone? Kibum doubted it; someone would have said something.
Instead of going to the door, he folded his arms on the table and laid his head down. The younger boy out in the living room was going to be the cause of his lost sanity.
“Kibum-hyung! Someone is here for you!” Kevin came bounding into the kitchen with a huge smile and sparkling eyes.
Kibum stood slowly, his hands flat on the table and his head hanging. “For me? But I-“ He stopped mid sentence the moment he heard an all too familiar laugh. The only guy with that laugh also had the singing voice and lung capacity to hold notes. The next thing he heard was a response to the laugh. And that voice too was familiar. Because of the second voice, Kibum smiled slowly. “Hyung!” He walked away from the table, past Kevin, and into the living room where he saw Kim Hyung Joon and Park Jung Min pointing at everything, trying to figure out what was whose.
Hyung Joon was the first to turn around and see Kibum. “Dongsaeng!” He walked briskly over to the younger, smiling, and his arms outstretched. He pulled Kibum into a tight hug, not forgetting to say ‘Oh I’ve missed you!’ ‘Why haven’t you called?’ ‘Jung Minnie was even worried!’
When they parted, Jung Min came in for a hug. “I haven’t seen you in a long time! Come here Hyung Joonie Junior!” He pulled Kibum into a brisk hug before he let go and went back to stand next to Hyung Joon. “You guys have a nice place. Better than mine.”
“Way better. It’s even clean,” Hyung Joon threw in, receiving a hit from Jung Min.
“Mine is clean! When people come over…”
Kibum ignored the rest and looked over his shoulder at the forgotten Kevin. He seemed fine. Better then fine. He was smiling really big, glowing like the sun, and trying not to laugh.
“What is it, Kevin?” Kibum asked, not amused at all by what was going on.
Kevin waved his hand in a dismissing form. “You seemed so different hugging your hyung, Kibum-hyung. You actually looked human!” He started giggling now; what a Kevin-thing to do.
“Why you…” Kibum went back to Kevin and pulled him to his body, then started to tickle him. How he knew Kevin was ticklish was far beyond him, but this was the only punishment he could think of for someone younger than him. It worked because Kevin started writhing and squirming around in his arms, laughing and giggling. Somehow, this felt so natural. He knew he was enjoying it too much when he realized Jung Min and his hyung weren’t talking anymore.
“Hey, get a room if you want to do that. I don’t want to see it.” Hyung Joon smirked when Kevin and Kibum ripped away from one another.
“I-I have a boyfriend,” Kevin muttered trying to defend himself.
Jung Min spoke this time, “Doesn’t matter. Cheating happens,” Kibum saw the side glance at Hyung Joon, “But it’s bad. And it hurts people.”
Kibum rolled his eyes, “Kevin, go get the others and tell them we hav-“
“That won’t be necessary,” Hyung Joon interrupted. “I just wanted to stop by and see you. Jung Min and I were on our way to dinner when I remembered that the manager at BRAVE told our manager that you were here.”
Kibum just nodded, waiting for his hyung to continue.
“So, we’ll be going now,” he looked at Kevin, and Kibum saw the approval in his brother’s eyes-he hated it! “It was nice meeting you…Kevin, was it?”
Kevin smiled and jumped up and down, clapping his hands like a child. “Oh yes! It was nice meeting you too, Hyung!” He bowed.
Jung Min smiled and practically did the same as Hyung Joon, and Kevin, again, got over excited.
Kibum and Kevin walked the two to the door and waved good bye. With a heavy sigh, Kibum closed the door and slouched against it. “Thank goodness…” He could tolerate Jung Min and Hyung Joon with the rest of the group, but he hated it when people randomly stopped by.
Kevin walked back to the kitchen, then stopped and picked something up.
Kibum was curious. “What do you have there, Kevin?” He walked closer to Kevin and blinked a few times at the object in his frail hands. “Hyung’s keys.” Kibum groaned and took the keys from Kevin and walked back to the door with the younger behind him. When he opened the door, Kevin shrieked and hid his face in Kibum’s back.
In front of them, in public, was Hyung Joon and Jung Min making out against the wall that went from the front door out, making a small walk way. They weren’t just making-out, they were feeling each other up, as well. Hyung Joon was pushed against the wall, one leg wrapped around Jungmin’s waist, and his hands lost in the man’s hair. Jung Min had his tongue down his hyung’s throat, and both arms pinning Hyung Joon against said wall. When they heard Kevin shriek, they jumped apart, then turned mortified at the front door.
Kibum didn’t look at them disturbed, but coldly. He tossed the keys to the ground. “You need these to drive, Hyung. Don’t get distracted and wreck.” He closed the door calmly, then turned around, making Kevin cover his face with his hands. Kibum couldn’t help but comfort the poor guy. “Hey, you okay?” He asked, wrapping his arm around the younger boy’s shoulders.
Kevin peeked through his fingers, “Is it gone?”
Kibum saw how red Kevin’s face was and couldn’t help but chuckle a little, “Yeah, they’re gone.” ‘Thank goodness’ Kibum thought to himself, retreating his arm from around Kevin. He already had to put up with the MinJoon crap at home, but here too? In front of Kevin? No thanks. Okay, so yes. He hated to hear about, and be compared to, his brother, but loved and supported him-they were best friends! And he cared for Jung Min; he just didn’t like the couple thing. It was weird to hear your hyung screaming and moaning in the room next to yours.
“-um-hyung?”
Nothing.
“-ibum-hyung?”
…
“Kibum-hyung?”
Kibum came back to his senses; he hadn’t noticed that he had been glaring at the door after making sure Kevin was okay. Speaking of Kevin, why was he still shaking him? “Kevin…stop.” Abruptly, the younger boy stopped, blushed, and apologized. “How about…we forget about that scene by watching a movie with popcorn?”
Kevin’s eyes brightened and his smile came back. “Really? We can have popcorn?” Kibum nodded, feeling butterflies in his stomach. “Woo!” Kibum chuckled and made his way to the living room with Kevin at his heels.

Eli walked from the steamy bathroom with a towel wrapped low on his waist, and another one in his hand drying his hair. He had needed a shower after he got home. He got the job at the grocery store, but while the others were at their interviews, he had gotten chosen to unload a truck of food-he better had gotten paid for that.
He opened his bedroom door, walked in, closed the door, and let the towel fall. He felt so free…until he heard an audible gasp. Quickly, Eli turned around to see the source of the gasp, and almost smiled when he saw that it was Kiseop, who was sitting on his bed. Even when he turned around to where Kiseop had a front view, the boy never turned away. He just had his hands over his mouth and his eyes wide.
“Uh…Eli. You-You’re…uh…”
Eli smirked at the boy stuttering-it was so cute. “You’re not turning away, Kiseop. How naughty.” He took a step towards the boy’s bed-no movement. He took a few more until he was standing right at the end of the bed, looking down at Kiseop.
Kiseop finally looked away, “You’re in my light…” It was barely a whisper, but Eli heard him.
“Yeah, right, like you’re going to read with me right here.” So maybe he was a little conceited. He touched Kiseop’s cheek and made him look up. “Come on. You can’t resist this.”
Kiseop rolled his eyes, but Eli saw the blush on his cheeks, “I have a boyfriend, remember?”
Eli groaned in frustration, “Oh well.” He removed his hand from Kiseop’s cheek and crossed his arms, “I tried. You win. I won’t pursue you anymore.”
“Really?” Ouch. Eli heard the excitement in the boy’s voice.
“Yeah,” he leaned down a little and made a bewildered expression.
Kiseop blinked. “What is it?”
“You have something on your face. It might be pen…” Eli leaned closer.
“But I haven’t us-“
Kiseop was cut off by Eli pressing his lips to his…
