Sally-Anne was sitting at her usual table in the back of the library. Her notes, which were usually neatly organized, were stacked in reckless piles on the desk. Sally had always had descent grades, but since the headmistress had reviewed her homework, her Transfiguration and Herbology grades had greatly suffered. She stared down at her newly ( Read more... )

The only place Gwenn could even begin to get away enough to concentrate on her writing was the Library. Even there was touchy. Too many people kept sending her looks as if she could make this whole re-grading fiasco go away.

Finally giving up on the section of her novel she'd been trying to rewrite, the blonde headed off toward the front of the library again. When she caught sight of the other girl, she couldn't help stopping and looking down at the notes she had.

"I can help you with Herbology if you want." Though, from what Gwenn had heard the others say about their marks any sort of help would turn into an accusation of cheating.

ooc: Feel free to ignore this if you don't feel like another 3rd on here. And Since Felicia did an intro, I figure I might as well. Hi! I'm Christina (aka Chrissy) and I play Jake (5th year Huffle), Julie-Ann (1st year Huffle), Zoey (7th Year Gryff), Ron (we all know who he is), and Gwenn (obviously. She's Head Girl, Huffle). I was thinking they (as in Sally and Gwenn) could be pretty good friends? You ( ... )

"You'll get the first one!" She decided suddenly. "I wouldn't think about sending it to anyone else."

"You really think the title's okay? My agent didn't seem to like it, but my editor thinks it's pretty brilliant." Titles were always where Gwenn ran into trouble. She'd have something perfectly written that she'd be completley happy with, but she wouldn't be able to really think of that one perfect word or phrase to sum it up and catch attention.

"Thanks!" Sally-Anne felt extremely happy all of a sudden. It was always those little things that touched her deeply. She smile broadly at Gwenn.

"It's great," she replied excitedly. "It's the kind of book I would pick up a shelf anyways. It sounds like a long and dangerous journey filled with suspense." Sally shifted on her chair and crossed her leg underneath her in a more relaxed position. "Did you agent suggest anything better?" she inquired.

OOC: Off to bed! Good night!

"Yeah? Then you'll have to let me know if you like it."

"My agent." Gwenn rolled her eyes. "She's not much for ideas. She knows what sells and how to market people. But she doesn't have a creative bone in her body."

Suddenly, Gwenn had a thought. It would definitely be something she could use, and it sounded as though the younger girl might actually be interested. "Would you mind maybe doing me a bit of a favor?"

"Of course!"

"Well if she doesn't have better ideas, she should probably not criticize," Sally replied with a nod.

"Of course not," the Hufflepuff said, shifting to a more comfortable position on her chair.

ooc: Sorry for the delay.. internet probblem.

"She's an agent, I think it's in her job description just to give me a hard as hell time." Which, really, it especially was. Not that Gwenn knew, but her aunt and uncle (the same ones that managed to secure her the agent) told the woman to be extra hard on her. Writing Muggle novels wasn't a respectible position.

"Want to read my chapters before I send them off? I know my editor gets the final word, but I'd like an extra set of eyes before it makes it that far."

ooc: No worries! Happens to us all

Sally nodded. She knew one thing: she would never become an agent.

She jumped up in excitement. "You'd want me to read it beforehand? That would be amazing!" Sally covered her mouth with both hands when she realized she had elevated her voice way above a whisper.

Giggling, Gwenn glanced back over her shoulder to see if Madame Pince had noticed. Luckily, they were so far in the back that they were probably hard to notice.

"Fab!" She tried to keep her voice down. "You jsut have to promise to be completely honest, okay? Like...any little thing you don't think works or it's oddly worded or anything you'll tell me, yeah?"

"Don't worry. I'll even take notes." This little project was really exciting to Sally-Anne. It gave her something to look forward to. At least someone didn't think she was a total git. With all her grades being lowered, she really looked like the last idiot.

"You're so my favorite," she grinned and hopped down of the table. She'd been thinking about getting a Ravenclaw to check it over. Maybe she'd still get Reina or someone to, but Gwenn had faith that Sally would be just as good (if not better) than anyone. After all, she seemed to like the genre.

"I should probably get going though. I've got so much homework I'm going to drown." Gwenn rolled her eyes and grabbed her bad up from where she'd left it on the floor earlier. "I'll bring you some chapters in a few days! Thanks, by the way."
