SCA dorks tend to be into LARP'ing, dressing up, drinking mead, and camping. I've noticed a heavy tendency for people to be polyamorous, pagans, and having a heavy arts background. I've had a few friends who were into SCA, so just sharing what I've noticed. FTR, I have no issues with it, as I think it's cool, and poly pagans who are good at art and like to drink and throw axes sound like a fun time.

I figured it'd consist of people similar to RenFest regulars, so that sounds about right 😂

Well that sounds hell cool. I can knit but am shit at it. I stick to knitting machines and crochet. I've always wanted to make my own yarn.

Things like that fascinate me! We have groups like that here too, and if I had a bit more free time I'd really check into it. Did you post about your Medieval baking? I'm very much into food history, both in theory and sometimes practice, so I'd love to read about it.

Apparently I somehow did not make any posts about my baking adventures, so I'm absolutely going to have to dig up those recipes soon & post them with the photos I took of my attempts.

How did the medieval baking thing do, was it tasty?

I actually just posted about one of the historical recipes I tried to make: Ancient Roman Cheesecakes!

I didn't care much for the honey (just a personal preference), but they were tasty otherwise. 😊

Awesome! I have been playing since university. I don’t tend to write too much about what I’m up to here, but you can find my SCA arts blog at https//www.siglindesarts.Wordpress.com.
