I tend to avoid race, gender, and sexuality discussions within fan forums and communities, because in our present age, people have forgotten or just don't know how to have a sensible, reasonable discussion about such serious and sensitive topics. Very good points.

Can I just say, the thing I was excited about in "The Lodger" was that they actually show that a more heavy-set person isn't disqualified from romance, even on t.v.(and it had to be the guy, which is still more common than showing a heavier woman, of course, and I'd love to see them work on that, but I'll take what I can get).

Yeah, the fat-hatred out there is awful. I, too, was happy to see that Craig was a heavy-set person who still had a successful life and romance.

Heck yes! Down with the fat-hatred! Love people for who they are! Actually, I thought the romance in the Lodger was surprisingly well done and rather cute, which is a nice departure from most of Gareth Roberts' screenwriting. (He and Clayton Hickman should be flogged in a room of boiling phlegm for the extra on the "Masque of Mandragora" DVD - totally inappropriate - save it for something else boys!)
