Title: How It Feels to Feel
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes, BBC!verse
Characters: Sherlock, John
Spoilers: "The Reichenbach Fall"
Summary: What started out as me writing a letter to Sherlock turned into a second-person ficlet, a sort of reaction piece to the events of "The Reichenbach Fall."

But you do miss him. You always called him ordinary, but the truth is, you were constantly mystified by him. After a lifetime of predictability, you don’t know what to do with a man who continually surprises you. )

Poor John. Poor Sherlock, too.

Such a horrible situation. Moriarty couldn't have planned it better.

Short but powerful! That last line! Adding to memories for sure.

Thank you! I think that has been the most interesting character development for me this series--Sherlock grappling with his emotions, learning that they need not always be suppressed. Learning, in fact, what can be gained when they are not.

:) Glad you approve. Fic is my favorite way to mull over detail and character stuff. Which is why there is always so little dialogue in what I write. I love to pick characters apart.
