So this will be my first fic posted on livejournal. Hopefully I do it right. :) Reviews are greatly appreciated, as I'm new to this whole thing. I may post over at fanfiction.net eventually. We'll see. So here goes

Hi, I stumbled upon this fic via the LilyandJames community. What a sweet story! I like how it didn't have a cliche "Lily is drunk and finally reveals how much she loves James" storyline. And I love how well-written James's character was and how you managed to portray all of his emotions so realistically. It didn't seem cheesy at all while managing to make me feel so sad and hopeful for him.

I hope you keep writing L/J fics b/c goodness knows the fandom needs more good writers! You mentioned ff.net; do you already have an account? If so, I'd love to add your story to my ff.net app. :)

And I love the picture of the library you have at the top of your blog! Thanks for writing and posting this wonderful story!

Thank you so much! I'm pretty new to the fandom so the praise means a lot to me!! I do have a ff.net account, although this is the only Harry Potter story posted there right now. Mostly its CSI fics of varying quality. :)

Anyway, I do plan to continue writing Lily and James. Hopefully you'll enjoy my other stories as much as this one!

I'm pretty incoherent from studying but I found this fic so adorable and unique that I had to say something! Like the previous reviewer I love that you didn't have Lily drunkenly telling him how much she likes him... Her response when he asks if she'd say yes if he asked in private was sweet and sad but utterly believable of a drunken Lily. Your James tugged at my heartstrings. I love that Lily compares James and Snape. I love that she's confused as to WHY James won't take no for an answer (I think that's much more likely than her finding it flattering). I particularly love your dialogue!

Basically I love it all. Aw. Feelings. I really hope you write more, I'd love to see more of your interpretation of their relationship! You're a really wonderful writer and you have a real gift for characterisation.

I too found this on LilyandJames. This is so cute! I really felt for James and love the way you describe his emotions. It didn't feel cliche or trite, it was just the right amount of poetic and teenage boy. Poor kid.
